5 Mins Speed Writing

Hiiii guys! I'm at SiauChian's place now & am gonna be staying here for the next 5 weeks. Yesh it's Easter break yayyyyy! Finally omg. I need a break. The weird thing is, it seems as though this term has passed so fast & omg I'm so close to going back! Omg omg omg. Fifi is so cute. Yep I brought Fifi with me hehehe. Had a drinking sesh with the Malaysians last night for Shao Ji's birthday. We were damn onz to go Shabang but that didn't happen- most of us got too wasted to go to Shabang. Oh welllllll. Idk, I feel like I've learnt to deal with alcohol? I drink a little but I try not to overdo it or use it to make myself feel better or stuff like that, get what I mean? Things are getting a bit confusing in my life right now, quite a few things that I've to figure out. Taking advice from friends but eventually have to make the decision myself- that's part of growing up I guess. Just scared about where my decisions will lead me. Gonna read The Fault in Our Stars later & may also watch Ice Princess with Siau Chian! :)

100 Happy Days: Day 22 to 28 :)

Day 22: 17th Mar '14
Celebrated Sarah's birthday after group work! :) everyone really enjoyed the cake, which Lynn & I baked, so yeah #proudmoment :P Stayed back a little after that to just talk & hang. So thankful for Group 15 (yes I know I keep repeating this)

Day 23: 18th Mar '14
1. DR sesh today was craycray! We had to turn our cadavers around because the session today was for the gluteal region, & omg the amount of adipose tissue. We started dissecting & it just seemed to be a never ending layer of adipose tissue. Wish I could have taken a picture for y'all but it's not allowed & I'm pretty sure if I did post it here there'd be some 'JAAAAAAAAAAAAS WHYYYYYYY' responses hahah :P But omg after we cut through the whole layer of adipose tissue & flapped it over, it was as thick as my Anatomy book. Like this.

You see, the problem with cadavers with a lot of fatty tissue is that it's really difficult to see stuff cuz we've to clean off everything - trust me, it's difficult. One of our clinical demonstrators came up to us and said that 'In one session, you'll be doing more dissecting than Cambridge students do in a semester!', referring to all the work we had to do hahahah -____- Our group also had sort of an exhibition heh, so many people suddenly started pouring over to see the slab of adipose that we'd just dissected through. It was crazy, we kept having to show them omg hahah. But yeah we managed to get everything done & see all the structures, including the sciatic nerve, which was really really gorgeous! ;) After that, the same clinical demonsrtator came over & he spazzed over what we'd done! :) He said he'd lost hope for us at first & he was so surprised that we could see so much! He also told us that other clin dems told him we were good dissectors ;) we were all so proud omg hahahah :')

2. Study sesh with T! :) Was quite productive yayyy.
3. Donovan bought me nasi lemak omg omg omg omg yayyy :') saving it for tmrw's dinner! :) #deprivedwednesdays

Day 24: 19th Mar '14
1. Funfunfun group work sesh :)
2. Got Starbucks with Siau Chian & Jason, & we all ended up getting the exact same thing hahah. Hung out for a bit, then Siau Chian left. Helped Donovan buy Starbucks then went to watch him play badminton heheh. Jason & I zho deng at the side, having a little heart-to-heart :) Afterwards we left & went to MSB to study- sort of. Eventually we started playing puzzles hahaha so lazyyy.

3. I HAD NASI LEMAK FOR DINNER & IT WAS SO GOOD OMG :'D :'D

Day 25: 20th Mar '14
1. My baby brother did really well for his SPM! 6A+s and 3As, even better than me hahahah :'D He also passed his driving test yayyyyy. Proud of him :)
2. Donovan invited me to his friend's place for lunch! It was curry omg curry I tell you curry. It was so good I wanted to kiss his friend HAHAHAHA. But yeah you get my drift.

Day 26: 21st Mar '14
1. Had a cupcake!
2. Lunch with T, Jason & Vei Lynn. Spent quite a while looking for a place to sit in the SU, then decided to just sit outside. It was FREEZING. Then we explored the main campus a lil bit more, cuz us medic students are quite lost when it comes to the main campus hahahah. We only know our building psh. Went to see the dinosaur in the Geology building, then went up the paternoster in Attenborough. I've been here 6 months and I've never been up it hahah. Fail student weh. It was super cool, although a bit slow- going up 18 floors took a while heh. Coming down though, Vei  Lynn has a fear of heights and you know me, I've a fear of lifts falling and things like that so.. that was not fun -_____-
3. Extra lecture finished early yayyyy!
4. Watched Zohan with Lucy :)

Day 27: 22nd Mar '14
1. Went for afternoon tea with the girls! : Eugene, Julia, Lucy, Anlia & Vei Lynn ;) Food wasn't too good, but company was fantastic hee :D

2. Porridge & wings with  Lucy & Minhee! :) Also watched Mean Girls hahah.

Day 28: 23rd Mar '14
1. A 6am call, eeee.
2. Have I ever mentioned that I really like cuddling? :)
3. Spoke to Lynn & my parents!

100 Happy Days: Day 15 to 21 :)

Day 15: 10th Mar '14

1. Suddenly felt like wearing baju kurung to class, and so I did! Got a few compliments (as well as 'why are you wearing that?' questions) which made my day! :)

2. Doing amazingly well for our M&R presentation and Donga actually praised us, ohmygosh. 'One of the best explanations of open & closed angles' he's ever heard of. Neil & T did really well, so proud of them (and the whole of Group 15!) 

3. Christine & MJ came down for dinner! 

4. Good Zumba sesh with T, Lucy & Minhee :)

Day 16: 11th Mar '14

I don't remember anything specific that happened today actually, but I had good dinner banter with the dinner gang just now? Hahahah just glad that I'm developing friendships :)

Day 17: 12th Mar '14

1. Took this Snapchat:

using T's phone & sent it to all her contacts (she told me to!) & got some weird replies hahahah :'D Note our clinical demonstrator at the back hehehe.

2. Did an ECG on Neil. Donga tried to trick one of us girls to volunteer instead of Neil (Peter wasn't here) & eventually said there was no equality in the world. Whaaaaaaat. Anyways, let's just say that the ECG wasn't perfect because we couldn't get the best positioning. The funny thing is, Neil was so nervous at first that at one point, his heart rate actually shot up to 176 bpm omg :P

3. The fire alarm went off while we were doing PKB. It always goes off whenever we're busy -.-

4. Apparently I'm Krish's 'fav.' Yayyyy :D

5. Managed to catch up with Anastasia & Shreya a lil bit 

6. Got saved by Zhia! Sara wasn't around this week for Doc-to-Doc, so I Snapchatted Zhia a few mins before to ask her to pull me into her group hehe ;) And it worked, lucky me! :) So Doc-to-Doc was great!

7. Felt ridiculously vain when I got back so ...

8. Dinner was surprisingly good! Thai green curry yayyyyy

9. EARLY NIGHT WOOTZ. Slept at 10 :D

Day 18: 13th Mar '14

1. Woke up feeling extremely refreshed after having 9 full hours of sleep! :)

2. Caught Nadya at the bus stop & finally got to hang out with her on the bus! :) Got off the bus at Vicky Park because we were early and walked the rest of the way to uni. It was so foggy! 

Also, we saw so many doggies just running and playing around, so adorbs! :) 

3. T brought banana chips for group work, yayyyy!

4. A certain someone asked me a weird question hahahah omg :'D

5. Had such a hilarious PKB discussion with the group #pleasehesitatetoask #refertolink #pleasenomore

6. We had a communication skills seminar in the afternoon, our last one actually, and I felt I did really well! So proud of myself :) 

7. T: It's a big change, but it's for a better future. #Obama

8. Had two people call me 'lenglui' #vain :P

8. Explored S Bar with T. Yeaaaaah, I've been here 6 months and I've never stepped foot into the bar hahahahah

9. Let go of some anger I was feeling against some people & I feel so much better now :)

Day 19: 14th Mar '14

1. Finished class super early today cuz Dr West brought forward our group work an hour earlier. So by the time the other groups went in for group work, we'd finished all of it and we're going home! :) 

2. Had a 3-hour Skype sesh with KFung! :) I've missed talking to him, it's been so long since we last talked, like really talked. 

Day 20: 15th Mar '14

1. Had a sort-of productive day

2. Had pizza for dinner with Minhee, Lucy & Vincent. When the dominos guy called, for some reason ALL of us went down to collect it hahah. I was in shorts & it was cold so I ran all the way to JoFo. & then the delivery guy called again & turns out he was at Lasdun -____- ran for nothing. Luckily, he told us to wait there & he came for us instead :) & then he told us to save our coupons, woot wootzzzz! :D Went back to halls where Minhee & I tried to lock Vincent & Lucy out hehehe :P in the end we ate our dindin watching Ragequit videos heh :S 

Day 21: 16th Mar '14
1. Had leftover pizza with Lucy & Vincent while they watched one piece.
2. Went ASDA shopping with Lynn! :D Ended up buying so much stuff, carrying them back was tiring grrrrrr.
3. Went over to Lynn's for a baking-cooking sesh! :D First we made churros,

They were so yummehhhhh :'D See the cinnamon sugar omg it's so good :'D Our choc sauce kinda failed tho, it overcooked heh. And thennnnn, Lynn cooked seafood tomyam for me! :D :D :D

It was DELISH omg omg omg :'D T then came and had our churros & tried Lynn's tomyam & she loved it too hehehe. Oh and we watched Ella Enchanted & Tangled! T then left, and Lynn and I started baking the cheesecake for Sarah's birthday celebration

Left afterwards cuz I was feeling a bit tired, but here's the end result! All thanks to Lynn :D

Speed Writing!

On the bus now ahhhh Monday classes. Woke up today at 6.30, and the sun was streaming brightly through my window. Sun. At 6.30? That's so normal, right? So I panicked, thinking I was late. Turns out that's how spring is gonna be apparently. Yes yes, spring is here! Flowers are blooming, and I can't wait for everything to be in full bloom! There's cherry blossom trees here too omg omg so pretty! Ah today's Sarah's birthday celebration so Lynn and I baked her a cheesecake yesterday! Hopefully it's good! *cross fingers* That's about the only thing I'm excited about today sigh. It's Membranes & Receptors today, which I immensely dislike ugh ugh

100 Happy Days: Day 8 to 14 :)

I haven't been feeling too well this previous week cuz I've been sick so .. this list may seem sliiiiightly shorter than the previous week's. Sorry! Heh.

Day 8: 3rd Mar '14

Went ASDA with Donovan to do some grocery shopping. What was supposed to be a quick dash turned out longer than we thought! We were planning to go systematically down each aisle so we wouldn't miss anything but Donovan kept forgetting stuff hahahah. Twas good fun tho! :D Got to know him a little better & he's such fun to tease :P Also, he ended up belanja-ing me so that was really nice of him :)

Day 9: 4th Mar '14

1. Someone called me pretty :')

2. Had a good session in the DR even though we couldn't dissect our cadaver. Instead, we had a discussion session before our viva, which went well :) So did our surface anatomy session, hehehe :P Don't mind my straying eyes, but I tell you, some of the guys in our group work room are *pssssssssssssst, burnnnn* ;) On another note, loving Group 15 more & more every day! 

3. A certain someone opened up to me :) Made me really happy!

4. In the evening, went for Street Dance with T & Lynn! :D It was fun at first but it slooooowly became way too fast (hehehe the paradox). After that, we made pancakes because it was pancake day! :D We had them with Nutella & strawberries & golden syrup & plums, so yum! 

T & Lynn, two girls I love so much! They never fail to make me smile every day :)

Day 10: 5th Mar '14

I fell sick today, so was feeling quite shizzy the whole day sigh. But some people touched my heart :') I was sick, and everyone was so worried about me and all. Which was really sweet. Like the dining hall gang (shoutout to Minhee, May & Lucy) who kept asking me if there was anything they could do! May even went to ASDA to buy me medicine :') so glad to have these amazing people around me!

Day 11: 6th Mar '14

Another sickly dayyyyy. I brought caramel digestives for group work, which Peter absolutely adored hehehe :P Also, watched the first part of The Sound of Music with Lynn & T. We had so much fun bonding & just singing along to the movie, hehehe. Have I mentioned how much I love them both?

Day 12: 7th Mar '14

1. This happened:

Omg finallyyyyyyyy. Don't judge. We're deprived.

2. Siau Chian's birthday dinner at Han Dynasty. Of course, food makes me happy ;) Hehehehe. So funny seeing Siau Chian receiving that bag of food from Shao Ji HAHAHAA. Oh oh and she likes my gift! :D  Yayyyyyy. After that, we walked back to CODE & I think I was pretty high, no idea why though. Zhia was pretty high as well so we high together hahahah. Hung out at Chian's room and the gang played Ring of Fire. The game was ridiculously crazy weh, especially the rules omg - no swearing, no pointing & no mentioning names. We ended up yelling stuff like 'Thai Guy, Guy in Cap, etc etc' at each other :'P Ridiculous. 

Day 13: 8th Mar '14

Today really wasn't a good day for me. For one, I wasn't feeling well. & then there was all the Anwar nonsense going on back home. & then we also had the issue with the MAS plane going missing. All I could think was about how upset and worried all their families must be. Worst of all, I spoke to two friends about it and they were so negative, it just upset me & made me so mad, I had to leave. The happier part of today tho, I got to talk to both my parents! :) 

Day 14: 9th Mar '14

Had a bad morning because I found out that two of my friend's friend's fathers were on the plane. Went down for brunch and told my friends about it. The two people (from yesterday) heard it & went, 'Yeaaaah, they'll just find their bodies'. WTF. I got so mad, it took all my willpower to not just yell back at them. How can you have no empathy whatsoever?!

Aaaaanyways, I had a good day afterwards! :) It was a truly beautiful day! The sun was shining brighter than ever (ohmygosh I've missed the sun!) and there was a cool breeze :) Went to ASDA with Lucy & Minhee, and we decided to picnic after grocery shopping since it was such great weather! :) I saw some people in coats & I was like ... whaaaaaat.

At night, took a walk with Minhee & Lucy and we went around knocking on Shao Ji & Courtey's windows hehehehe :P 

100 Happy Days: Days 1 to 7 :)

There's this new trend going about right now, #100happydays. The whole point of it, in my opinion, at least - is to show yourself that no matter how shitty your day might be, you can still be happy. & so I was thinking, it'd be interesting to embark on this journey, see if I can be happy for 100 days in a row. So here I am! :D Instead of posting stuff on Instagram though, I'd rather just write about these happy things here, and post them in weekly compilations so I won't spam everyone :D Here goes!

Day 1: 24th Feb '14
1. Woke up feeling extremely hyper (God knows why, I only had 4 hours of sleep) but I ain't complaining! :D Waking up hyper is definitely waaaaaay better than waking up feeling like I lost the will to live hahahah.
2. The sky was beautiful today morning :')

3. Shao Ji woke up on time and came for breakfast! He's like this really rare Pokemon that you very seldom see during breakfasts hahahah :P
4. I understood the whole first lecture!
5. Donga was in a very good mood today hehehe. So group work today was fun! :)
6. Went to Ed's for Nutella milkshake with Shao Ji & May. It was so good omggggg. But jelak la after a while. Prefer May's oreo one heh. Feeling fat, we then walked aaaaaaaall the way to L-Mart hehe. & I bought more snacks (fats fats fats.) I also saw octopus! Gonna buy it next time :D

7. Everyone came for dinner! & we took over two full tables hehehe so proud of us! :D Oh & Donovan joined us as well yay!

8. Spent some quality time with Lucy.

9. Sehran & Leek made conversation with me :') I love when people make an effort to talk to me :')

1. Phillip making fun of me today morning when I hit my hand on the table -_____- He's opening up to us! Yeah cuz my theory is that you'll only start making fun of your friends & insulting them if you really feel comfortable around them heh.

2. Flowers have started to bloom everywhere! :)
3. Bonding time with T after being ditched by the guys at Subway.
4. Being told that people view me as an approachable person :)

Day 4: 27th Feb '14
1. Managed to make it on time for class with 15 minutes to spare after a mad dash to the dentist in the morning.
2. Had a good conversation with Donovan on the bus till I got off at the wrong stop & had to hop back on :'D
3. Great MSK revision sesh with T, Lynn & Farihah
4. Lucy bought the new B&J core & shared it with me! :)

Day 5: 28th Feb '14
1. Got my filling done! :)

Day 7: 2nd Mar '14
I don't know, today wasn't really a good day for me sigh. But I guess one thing that made me happy was to do with laundry hahaha. I did my laundry & got a call from Lucy afterwards asking me if I did laundry. And that she wanted to use my machine. & then Vincent wanted to use the machine after her. It doesn't sound thaaaat funny, but trust me it was hahahah.
