Timeless ; CF Camp '13 - 5-7 July : Part 2

Finally. I know, looooong overdue. Been stuck in my drafts for ages, sorry.

Here goes!

6th July
Woke up an hour earlier than everyone else (other than Catherine) because I wanted to shower. After that, waited for everyone else to wake up. Sorry guys, it was amusing watching your alarms go off, you reaching for your phones, setting it to snooze then going back to sleep. Hahahah. In the end I had to wake up quite a few of them also :P

Once everyone was up and ready, we headed to the hall for devotion. Our group's devotion was quite short compared to the others so we kind of just sat there awkwardly after a while -.- After devotion, breakfastttt! Usually I'd sit down and wait for the others to take their food first, because I'm too lazy to queue up. And then someone brought me food, saying it was from my angel. And this, would repeat for almost EVERY meal. I've such an amazing angel :')

After breakfast, we went back to the hall for our second session. But before that, we started with games! It was the game where you had to 'bomb' one another. Say, when a team bombs another, they have to stand up and chant together. And the bombing continues until a team is either too slow, or the members aren't in sync. Team Fossil lost, and as punishment they had to do the banana dance. APPARENTLY, no one in their team knew what the banana dance was so Pastor Mark had to show them.

Afterwards we had worship, then our second session, which revolved around the topic of 'Timeless Goodness'. 

After session, we had a short Q&A session, to clarify any doubts and questions that we had in mind. It was really good, getting some professional opinion on thoughts we had. Then we had lunch and a short break. After that, it was game timeeeee! :D First, we were told to send out a representative. They didn't tell us what it was for okay? So anyways, we sent out Tiam. 

And then they told us that these representatives, were to be our princesses. And we had to dress them up using tissue paper and whatever else materials we had.

After that was done, our princesses all thought they could be rid of their outfits. But noooo, they weren't allowed to take them off and had to wear them for the next few games. HAHAHA.

Basically you've to send out a representative each, and the representatives have to yell the other representative's name before they do. We lost this one by ONE POINT T____T

The next game, we had to take 3 pictures and marks would be given based on how creative we were. The 3 pictures were:

• Walking the dogs with Paul. (Why Paul? Cuz Paul has a fear of dogs after he was chased by them once. So the committee were trying to cure him of his fear :P Hahah )
• Flying a plane
• The Dragonball 'kame kame ha' thing

For the first picture, we had to get atleast 2 dogs. We thought it would be a problem, but boy were we wrong. The dogs were so attracted to Tiam, we didn't even need to search. They JUST KEPT COMING.

After that, we played Capture The Flag. Seiko went up against Casio, and we were sort of freaking out because Casio members were all so tall! x___x And funnily, when we were splitting our members into the 'Attack' and 'Defense', all of us were attacking players. No defense at all HAHAHA. In the end, we decided that we'll all attack except for Thiva. Heeeee. 

We were SO GOOD. We won 4-0. Or was it 5-0. I can't remember :P And I got the first scoreeeeeeeeeee! Not bad, short people are awesumz. We're better at evading heh. And En Leang said I was a fast runner *proud* ;)

Our win cost us, though. Almost all of us were injured one way or another. We practically were the only team with injuries -____- Scratches here and there, skin peeling, and worst of all: Tiam twisted his foot. But he still insisted he was fine, and he could continue on so, kudos to him :D

After that, the main event! WATER BALLOON FIIIIIIGHTTTTT :D Each team was given a large bucket/ 2 small buckets and a few balloons each. Unfortunately there was lack of buckets, so our team only got one tiny bucket. And then came the problem of where we would fill the balloons. The bathrooms were taken, so we headed to Thiva's dorm heheheh. Kerby went back to his own. Since Kerby took the bucket, we only had a garbage bag so we put the balloons in there. Bad idea. Most of the balloons burst and we ended up wetting the guys' room. So we decided to use the rubbish bin in the room heeeeee :P

After filling, we went back to the field and the game begaaaan! The whole aim of the game was to try and wet the other team's princesses as much as we could. The least wet princess, wins!

Tiam's PERFECT hiding spot. Since he couldn't really run with his twisted foot, he hid instead. Barely anyone knew he was even there! :P

Then the committee had to decide who was the least wet, and :

HOHOHO. Not wet AT ALL. Not a single drop. Nope.

Then, we were supposed to go jungle trekking. Some decided not to go, so they rested instead. I wanted to go, but Tiff got hit on the head. She had a concussion once before, so we were quite worried about that and I was assigned to take care of her. Alvin, En Leang, Kerby and Tiam came up, and we played Snap and Heart Attack and Bluff. After Esther and Jeannie came back, they joined us as well. So did Zi Min. And Jacky. Eventually it got so crowded at our porch that some of us had to stand heh. 

After that, we went down for dinner. Where we found out that Zach dislocated his shoulder blade. Because they were playing football and he dived to stop the ball from rolling down the hill. Ouch. And then Tiam twisted his ankle AGAIN. He was walking towards the dining hall, and Adriel came up beside him and asked him how his foot was. He looked up at Adriel, didn't see where he was going and .. slipped. 

Ouch.

After dinner, we had our third session. Worship that night, led by Bryan, was just amazing. God's presence then was so tangible, you could really just feel Him in the room. Then Pastor Mark talked about 'Timeless Grace'. He gave us 3 points:

1. Grace Undeserving
2. Grace Freely Given
3. Grace Freely Received

After session, we had another Q&A session to continue where we left off. If people were nervous about asking questions before, this time around was a different matter. Pastor Mark was fired with questions, non stop, one after another. So our session dragged until we overshot our time. So Pastor Mark decided to end the session, and afterwards some of us who still had questions went to find him personally.

It was so interesting and enlightening, and I learnt a lot that night. We stayed there till like 2+, just discussing things. Then I headed back to the room, planning to call it a night. On the way back, I saw Alvin, Esther, Tiff, and the rest playing Mafia at the dining hall. Instead of sleeping, I got my jacket and came back downstairs and joined them. It was so funny because Tiam and Brendan kept suspecting each other EVERY ROUND, for no apparent reason. Psssssh. And Ashwin kept getting blamed hahah :P En Leang also added a character, the little girl who could stay awake and spy throughout the game. Sam kept getting that hahah :P One of the best parts was when Alvin was the mafia- cuz Kerby was so outspoken and he kept telling Alvin his suspicions on who was who la. HAHAHA.

Stayed up playing till 5+. Then we headed off to bed! 

7th July

Actually I've already overshot to 7th July, heh.

All of us nearly overslept and only woke up because the dogs were barking reaaaally loudly. Turns out they were chasing monkeys. 

After preparing, we all went downstairs for devotion. All of us who stayed up playing Mafia last night overslept and were REAAAALLY late. Some of us even missed devotion >____>

After breakfast, we went for our fourth session- Sunday service, sort of.

Worship was good! :) Alvin and I had been waiting for 'One Way' since the night before, so we were so excited when 'One Way' was one of the worship songs! :) Then session: forgot what the title was, but it was centred around the topic of being a true disciple and really following Him. 

After session, it was time to reveal the Angels! :) First Kenneth asked for volunteers to tell stories about what their Angels had done for them. I went, bragged about mine, guessed that it was Lydia, but turns out she wasn't even there to listen. And yeap, during the reveal, it really was Lydia :D And interestingly, I can't remember who they were but there were two people who were each other's respective Angels and Mortals. Heh.

Went back to the room, got changed, packed, then came down again. Us seniors wanted to play a hand game, but by the time the explaining was done, we had to leave.

Left for Taylor's, where I fell asleep on the bus after talking to Aiber about literature. Woke up halfway and everyone was asleep. The bus was so quiet ;O

Reached CPU building, and went back home with Leek. And that's the end of CF Camp.
